Payment, Refund, Cancellation

When do I start paying the internship training (education) fee?

Once you agree to participate in the internship training assigned by us, your parents or guardians (if you are under the age of 18) will be asked to submit an aceeptance form. A TAP administrator will then issue a performa invoice to you. Once we have received your payment, we will send you an internship information pack.

What if I missed the payment deadlines?

Should payment deadlines be missed, please immediately contact us at info@tapeducation.net.

Before the internship starts, will I get be able to get a refund if I decide to withdraw from the internship due to death/illness of family member or personal health problems?

Should you provide a one-month notice prior to the commencement of the internship and re-scheduling is not feasible, you will receive a 50% refund; otherwise, a refund will not be provided.

Do I get a refund of the reservation fee if I decide to withdraw from the waiting list?

You will get a full refund only if TAP cannot provide any internship leads before the next intake round (usually around 6 months).

Why is cancellation not permitted?

​TAP provides an exclusively dedicated slot to successful applicants that does not allow other interns to pursue the training at the same time. Your mentors and co-mentors tend to reschedule all of their activities, including cancelling internship opportunities for other candidates, in order to exclusively meet your training needs.

After the internship has commenced, can I quit?

​Yes, you can withdraw from the internship at any time. Please be aware that you will not receive any refunds and you will not receive a certificate of completion for the internship if you are unable to complete the entirety of the programme.

If the internship training does not meet my expectations, can I get a refund?

No, you will not receive any refund.

 

In the beginning of the internship, the TAP Education Foundation will collaborate with the assigned research institutes in order to establish the related objectives and evaluation scheme to ensure successful internship training. During the internship, TAP will monitor the progress of the intern throughout entire internship by collecting associated feedback from all involved parties, and generate individualized progress reports that would ensure continuous improvement. To guarantee an enjoyable experience for all parties, the TAP Education Foundation will assist you in working effectively with the mentor and fellow researchers.

Will I be refunded or re-rescheduled if the assigned research institute cannot deliver the internship as agreed?

Prior to the commencement of the internship, if re-scheduling is not feasible, you will receive a full refund.

If I cannot get a passport or visa to travel, will I be able to withdraw and get a refund?

Should you provide a one-month notice prior to the commencement of the internship, and if re-scheduling is not feasible, you will receive a 50% refund; otherwise, a refund will not be provided. So, please check the validity of your travel permits before signing the internship training agreement.
