FAQ
Accepted Interns
Once I have become an accepted intern, does it mean that I will be immediately assigned to start my internship training in a TAP research institute with available openings?
Yes and no. Due to the limited openings and keen competition in each intake time period, interns applying for upcoming intakes are selected upon a first-come-first-serve basis. In this regard, even though you are an accepted intern, we may not be able to offer you an internship right away. However, you will be informed whenever there are openings based on your position on the waiting list.
How long do I have to wait if there are no openings around?
After paying a reservation fee, you will be put on the waiting list. You will be regularly informed of your respective position on the waiting list. You will get a full refund if TAP cannot provide any internship leads before the next intake (usually around 6 months).
Do I get to choose my favorite research institute or research project for my internship?
Absolutely. You have all the rights to reject any research internship assigned to you by the TAP Education Foundation. However, if you reject the suggested internship offers twice, we will take you off the waiting list without refunding the reservation fee, and you will have to re-apply.
Do I get a reservation fee refund if I decide to withdraw my position in the waiting line?
You will get a full refund if we cannot provide any internship offers within 6 months.
